New England Translations (NET) is the result of a successful cooperation between the Boston Academy of English, a leading Boston-based language school, and Data Translations Int., a Brussels-based translation agency with an international customer base and focus. Customers with international operations can now knock on a single door for all their language translation needs.
Boston Academy of English
Founded in 1990 as a Spanish language teaching school, Boston Academy of English created New England Translations in response to the a demand from Boston's growing financial industry for translation of prospectuses and marketing material into Spanish. Within a few years, with demand coming from other sectors as well (notably law firms and healthcare service providers) and the changing demographics of New England resulting in a growing need for many other languages, Boston Academy of English chose to refocus on its core competency of language instruction. New England Translations was purchased by Data Translations, a premier Belgian translation agency, in 2006.
Data Translations Int. 
Founded in 1989 as Data Translations, the Brussels-based company was acquired by its current owners in 1992. With new energy and a modern management policy, results quickly followed as other Europe-based language service providers were acquired. Today, Data Translations Int. (renamed Data Translations Int. in 2009) is one of the top translation agencies in Belgium.
